How Did Vicky Peretz Die?
Vicky Peretz, a former striker for the Israeli national team and Maccabi Tel Aviv, died Sunday night (Monday to Tuesday) at the age of 68. After being discovered in his home without a pulse, he was brought to the hospital in severe condition, and his death was determined at the end of the physicians' efforts. His son, Omar Peretz, is a former footballer and the current coach of Hapoel Kfar Shalem. Iris Rosenblum, the sister of Dorit Cohen, the widow of the late Avi Cohen, was Peretz's wife.

Who Was Vicky Peretz?
Vicky Peretz was born on 11 February 1953 in Kfar Saba, Israel. Peretz was the leading scorer for Israel's national under-19 football team in the AFC Youth Championship in 1972. His twelve goals earned him the tournament's golden boot.
Before joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, he started his career at Maccabi Ramat Amidar. In the 1976-77 season, when Maccabi won the Liga Leumit, he was the league's leading scorer with 17 goals.
He left Israel in 1980 to join RC Strasbourg in France, before moving to Stade Rennais two years later. He returned to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 1983.
He earned 40 caps for the national team and scored 14 goals during his playing career.
