Franco Gallina was born on 1 January 1945 in Naples, Italy.
Franco Gallina was an Italian footballer who made a name for himself as a forward in the Serie A and the NASL.
Gallina made his Serie D debut in 1962 with Casertana F.C., when he helped the team win the Serie D title and gain promotion. He was signed by Genoa C.F.C. of the Serie A the following season, although he did not play.
He began his career in Serie C with Virtus Entella in 1964 and then with Cesena F.C. He returned to Genoa, where he had previously played in Serie B. After two seasons with Genoa, he joined Lanerossi Vicenza in Serie A and made his debut against A.C. Milan on November 17, 1968.
