Chick Vennera was born on March 27, 1947 in Herkimer, New York, U.S.
Chick Vennera was an American actor who played Joe Mondragon in Robert Redford's film The Milagro Beanfield War, among other films. Joe Pesci's voice was often used as a stand-in for him.
Vennera began a career as an actress and dancer after serving in the US Army Signal Corps. He was also a musician who could play a variety of instruments. His first notable acting role was in the Broadway production of Grease, which he toured for a year.
He continued to perform and had an appearance in the 1978 film Thank God It's Friday, in which he danced on top of multiple cars. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he continued to act in a variety of films and television series. He made three appearances on The Golden Girls in 1989.
Vennera dabbled in voice acting in the 1980s, with appearances on Hanna-Barbera shows. Pesto on Warner Bros. Animation/Amblin Entertainment's hit cartoon series Animaniacs was his most prominent role. Vennera was an acting teacher before his death.
